After graduating from university in 2004 I left for Japan to begin working as an English teacher. Since then I have worked in a wide variety of different language schools from large corporate conversation schools, to government colleges. Through my experiences working in the field of education I have developed interpersonal and pedagogical skills that I believe will be an asset in any future profession.

Teaching / Education Employment History:

	OEC Language Services Osaka (June2006 - Current)
	At OEC I worked as a conversational school language Instructor teaching small classes of adults and corporate business clients.

	Merry England (Early - Mid 2006)
	I worked at Merry England for a short time in early '06. Merry England is a small conversation school / café / antiques shop in rural Japan. At Merry I taught all ages and abilities. The classes at Merry England were an hour long and used no fixed text or lesson structure. It was a good opportunity to be creative with lesson planning.

	Chiang Mai International Business College. (June 2005 - September 2005)
	Chiang Mai Inter was by far my most pleasant ESL experience. I taught classes of about 20 - 30 student aged between 16 - 21. I was responsible for planning and teaching the entire course.

	Interac Yamanashi Ken (March 2005 - June 2005)
	I worked for Interac for a short period at the beginning of 2005. I worked as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) in junior high schools. In this position I was involved in lesson planning for classes of between 20 - 30 students.

	Nova Fukushima Ken Japan (2004 -2005)
	I worked for Nova as an Instructor for 12 months. During this time I taught students of all ages and abilities. It was my first experience teaching and a great crash course in what it's like to be a teacher.
